Trips and Rates

Wil-Ril Fishing Adventures caters to anglers of all ages and experience levels with the desire to create memories. We have created a selection of our specialties and season dates but would like to remind you, whatever you have in mind let me know and we can make a game plan. Got an area in a certain body of water that you want to dial in? Want to find the right area in the sound for whatever time of year it is? Let us help, we are on a trailer ready to go always looking for the fastest way to the best bite.  Our trips require a $100 deposit when booked a two weeks or more in advanced. Deposits are non refundable unless the trip has to be canceled by the captain due to inclement weather.  
Rods, reels, tackle and bait will all be provided. Please bring: •clothing specific (pants, jacket, rain gear, shoes) •food and beverage (alcohol is permitted, drunks are not.) •any medications that need to be taken (Dramamine is recommend for people who develop motion sickness please refer to package for dosage information) •sunscreen •ice for your catch 
We have bags available for your catch to take home. No mate is hired onboard. The captain works solely for you and if you would like your catch fileted a gratuity is customary.  For scheduling, please contact as our dates are flexible and first come first serve. During the prime-time spring striper run, I will be devoting a week to my customers to give everyone a chance to get on the water. So be sure to sign up for my monthly email. Trout/Salmon Trips

Want to relive a special piece of your childhood? Or embrace the magic to your own family? Our Trout and Salmon trips offer everything you're looking for in an inland trip. We rely on our downriggers to get us to the fish and rely on our Fishhawk to dial in the wanted speed at the correct water temperature. There are many ct waters that hold trout year-round, as well as stocked salmon that make it a majestic fishery. We fish two main lakes in ct. Crystal Lake and West Hill Pond. Crystal lake holds Atlantic salmon while West Hill holds Kokanee salmon. 

Season dates: April-November when the best fishing comes early spring into fall.

Striper Trips

Our spring striper trips are what sparked the fire in this operation! As the striper begin to move into the sound we find our home in the beautiful mouth of the ct river. We specialize in tube and worm trolling in the shallow waters. Most captains catch their bait early in the morning focusing on their main diet menhaden, but I spend the extra money on what I call the Stripers candy. Sandworms. At the right speed in the right areas the sandworm on the end of the tube proves almost irresistible to this trophy fish. Just an added extra cost i take on to make this trip one of your bests yet. We also enjoy throwing artificial lures especially Topwater in the fall time.

Striper and Groundfishing Combo

When the heat begins to effect the shallow water we head out in eastern Long Island sound where we continue to catch monster stripers and enjoy a variety of ground fishing opportunities such as Black Sea bass, fluke, and porgys. All offer a delicious meal. A $50 dollar fuel surcharge has been added to these trips.

Who else also enjoys the peace and quiet under the moon? That’s the perfect time to bring the family out for a night of catfishing. The thought of catfishing is old as time itself and that’s why we are pleased to offer this opportunity. It’s a fun time anchored up in the deep channels of the CT river waiting for the rods to bend. 

Season dates: End of June until beginning of September
